I’ve been fired again! Ok…maybe laid off is a better way of saying it.
My team has collectively been fired over 65 times this year! Can you believe it…65 times our clients have said to us, “Thank you, but your services are no longer needed.” And why? Because we have successfully completed what we were hired to do, and that is to help them buy or sell a home.
As a sales person, I am constantly working myself out of a job. Once I get hired, I work as hard as possible to get the job done and find myself in search of work once again.
This used to freak me out.
Over the years I have become accustom to the thought that I will be losing my job every 30-45 days. The better I become at my job, the more often I will be fired. I know that doesn’t make sense if you work are on a salary or hourly wage, but it’s true for me every day of my career.
The #1 reason I don’t fear being fired any more is because I have been able to increase the number of job interviews I go on. And like any job interview, I don’t always land the job. When I don’t get selected by a homeowner to sell their home, or by a buyer to help them find a home, I try to learn from the experience and move on with greater insights.
There is no mystery to success in real estate. The more interviews I do, the more likely I am to get hired. The more times I am hired the more clients I will attract and the more clients I attract, the more referrals I am likely to receive.
So, if you are looking to sell more real estate, now is the time to schedule interviews! Go and make as many appointments as you can. The more you make, the more likely you are to land a new job!
Hopefully, you will have the privilege of getting fired A LOT!
